Reset your TP-Link Router Follow these instructions carefully to start a complete TP-Link reset. No matter how many times you hit the reset button, it won't work unless you push it for the right amount of time. Without regard to the manufacturer, the 30-30-30 Router reset procedure is effective for the majority of routers. The same procedure will be used to reset your TP-Link router. Note: Rebooting the TP-Link router first to see if it works is advised.
#1: Find the reset button first.
The reset button may be found on the back of your TP-Link router. Most likely, it will be hidden inside a hole to prevent accidental activation by users. The button may also protrude from the case on some versions.
The WPS button may occasionally serve as the reset button when using the reset sequence.
Find the button and proceed to the next step in either case.
#2: Hold down the reset button.
Hold the reset button down for 30 seconds with the router turned on. Turn off the power source while holding down the button for another 30 seconds. Switch on the power and hold it for an additional 30 seconds while continuing to hold the TP-Link reset button.
You've successfully restored your TP-Link router to its factory default settings.
#3: Setup your TP-Link router again
If you want to preserve the factory settings, you can skip this step. To safeguard your connection, however, we advise making adjustments and preferably continuing with a TP-Link password reset.
